OBITUARY
Bailey James Peace passed away on August 10, 2024, at the tender age of 16. He was born in Las Vegas, Nevada, on May 22, 2008, to Jeffrey Ladouceur and Kiblena Peace.
Bailey was an extraordinarily curious, kind, and loveable genius. The questions began at six months old when he asked, "What's this?" for the first time. For months to follow, his curiosity never waned as he wanted to know every item he encountered new, "What's this?" This curiosity would only grow as he did. We knew he was special; we didn't quite understand the magnitude of his brilliance or begin to imagine the positive impact he would leave on the world. He was so easy! Easy to raise, easy to get along with, and so easy to love.
By the age of two, Bailey's love for cars was already evident. He could identify any car he encountered, whether in a parking lot, on the street, or in a magazine. His passion for cars only grew, and by the time he was six, he had surpassed his father's knowledge, a self-proclaimed 'car guy '.
Bailey enjoyed schooling us with excellent facts and always had an interesting "Did you know?"
Accompanying Bailey to the Apple store, it became apparent that he required a deeper understanding of how things work than others. His questions required a multi-functional team consisting of an engineer, designer, and Applecare advisor. He almost always had to mine for answers but happily shared his findings. Had he been 18, he would have accepted the invitation to apply for a job. He replied, 'Two more years.'
Bailey's love for music was as deep as his love for cars. He played the stand-up bass, piano, drums, and any other instrument he could get his hands on. His talent was evident in the way he skillfully mapped out notes and practiced until he had a masterpiece to share.
Bailey's love for nature, animals, and spending time with friends is memorialized in his photography, which captured the moments and sentiments. He loved being on the tennis team, and he loved his IB Program Valley High School family.
Bailey's generosity was a shining example of the warmth and kindness he shared with others. He never minded sharing his toys, his thoughts, or his money. His final act of generosity, which allowed eight children to fulfill their life mission and pursue adulthood, is a testament to the impact he had on others.
Bailey is survived by his mother, father, grandmother, grandfather, aunts, uncles, half-sister, cousins, friends, teachers, and everyone who loves him.
