Deborah Patterson Dailey

August 6, 1950 – February 2, 2023

We honor and celebrate the Inspiring Life of DEBORAH PATTERSON DAILEY. Deborah was a loving wife and mother and will be cherished and remembered through the legacy of her family and friends. Deborah gently passed this February 2023 after being born in 1950.

Deborah Dailey was a remarkable individual with a keen intellect and a loving and caring touch for the people and the world around her. She was introduced to travel and the wonder of other cultures during her early years and later just before college due to her father’s oil industry work in places like Venezuela and Kuwait. Deborah always treasured Venezuela and the people, customs, and history there as much as her own country being born here in the United States.

Debby was a lifelong learner and completed her college with a focus on teaching majoring in Italian and Spanish. She especially enjoyed traveling to places like the Vatican in Rome, Italy, the Escorial in Spain, and visiting the Netherlands as well. Her path led her to California where she worked in county government serving others and was a natural leader even representing her senior managers/directors at state meetings and conferences. After marrying her loving husband and being blessed with a fine daughter, she eventually returned to home life, always lovingly encouraging her daughter with reading and learning at an early age. Debby and her husband were and are very proud of their wonderful daughter who achieved a B.A., an M.A. and is
currently working on her Ph.D.

Whether it was visiting San Francisco museums, the Monterey Bay Aquarium, or the Crocker Museum, she enjoyed life with family and especially time with her friends. She enjoyed the outdoors particularly observing birds like hummingbirds, woodpeckers, pelicans, and many others. Deborah was also an avid
reader; enjoying the readings of Patricia Cornwell or John Grisham and enjoyed BBC mysteries with her husband. Her favorite music included Ottmar Liebert, Acoustic Alchemy, George Winston, the Eagles, pop, and classical. Many family trips and vacations included Disneyland, Cathedral Gorge, Tonto Rim, Northern Idaho, and white water rafting in Oregon.

Deborah also cherished and enjoyed her older brother and her sister who preceded her in death. Deborah is survived by her husband and daughter and her nephew and his wife.
