Kathy Spilsbury

A LIFE WORTH CELEBRATING
Kathy Diane Spilsbury, age 63, of Las Vegas, Nevada born in Buffalo, New York on July 15, 1959, to Andrew and Carol (Drollinger) Spilsbury passed away on Thursday, September 1, 2022.  

Kathy worked her entire career in the defense industry spending time in various engineering and software departments within JT4 (formally Hughes).   She began her career in California but spent her last thirty years with the company in Las Vegas.  Kathy spent her time outside work on her many and varied hobbies, including quilting, jewelry making and exquisite silk ribbon embroidery often traveling around the country for specialized training classes and a chance to find unusual supplies.  She particularly enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews and the best of those times were often spent by sharing her love of crafting with these important young people in her life.  In fact, Kathy could be counted on to give generously or her time, talents, creativity, and resources to all the family, friends, and co-workers in her life.  

Kathy was predeceased by her mother, Carol Spilsbury.  Kathy left behind her father Andrew Spilsbury Senior; sister, Kim (Michael) Louise Peterson; brother, Andrew (Jonna) Spilsbury Junior; and nieces and nephews Jackson, Sela and Eli Spilsbury, Suzanne (Heath) Zurn, Laura and Emily Peterson and one grandniece.
