It is with great sadness and regret that we announce the passing of Richard L. Pautz. He was 90 years old when he passed on to be with the Lord on October 26, 2021. He is now reunited with his loving wife, Nancy of over 42 years. Nancy passed away on January 19, 1997. Richard was well-known as a family man and a Civil Servant in the Las Vegas community for the past 58 years. He was a proud member of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department for over 20 years. During this time, he quickly moved up through the ranks as a Sergeant and Detective. He was also proud to serve as a Police Officer for ten years in Milwaukee, WI prior to moving to LV in 1963. Immediately after high school, he was honored to serve his country; he was a decorated Army Veteran of the Korean War. Richard was a life-long active member of the Catholic Church. He enjoyed the great outdoors, especially fishing and camping, which he shared with his family throughout his life. He was an avid football fan; the Green Bay Packers were his favorite team. His true passion was spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren and a host of close friends. Later in life, he met and enjoyed dancing and traveling with his partner Eileen Lyons. Richard leaves behind his children Keith Pautz, Pamela Altenburg, Roger Pautz and Colleen Pautz. He also leaves behind his grandchildren Jennifer Altenburg and Matthew Pautz. Richard will be missed immensely by all who knew him.
